Placing Orders, Downloading Ringers & Wallpapers

When I try to download my ringer or wallpaper I get "Authorization failed or no downloads remaining"

Every purchased ringtone/wallpaper can be downloaded twice before it becomes unavailable. If you haven't received your ringtone/wallpaper at least once, please contact support and explain why you couldn't.

I haven't received my download. What is the problem?

Check that you are able to receive text messages. (You can still retrieve your content without having text messaging. See the next section for moreinfo.) Also verify you entered your cell phone number and provider correctly in the web form when you placed your order.

Please make sure that WAP Push is enabled on your cell phone. Depending on the make of your phone, you need toset the WAP Push setting to "On", "Allow all", "Always", or "Receive all". Here are some hints on where to locate this setting:

My download link has arrived, but I can't find it on my cell phone. Where is it?

The download link is in the body of a message that Myindietones.com sent to your cell phone. Depending on the make of your phone, this message will go to your text or WAP inbox, also known as a "Service Inbox", "Funbox", "Browser Message Inbox", or simply "Push Inbox".

What do I do with the download link I received?

1. Open the message Myindietones.com sent you.
2. Scroll down to the download link.
3. Click on the link and you will be immediately connected to Myindietones.com
4. The download will start automatically.
5. When the download is finished, just save it.
6. Have fun with your product!

Why can't I download when I click on the link?

WAP might not be set up correctly on your cell phone. Please ask your wireless carrier how to adjust your settings or consult your phone manual.

How can I pay for my order with Myindietones.com?

You can pay for your purchase via credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

Can I place an order with Myindietones.com if I have a prepaid phone?

Many prepaid phones will still allow you to download items purchased from Myindietones.com. However, it is important that your prepaid phone model is supported by Myindietones.com (you can check to see if your phone model is supported by visiting our Phone Test page) and that you have text messaging and wireless Internet enabled on your phone. Some carriers do not allow downloads to prepaid phones, so if you have any questions, it is best to check with your carrier BEFORE you purchase from Myindietones.com.

Do I have to have text messaging on my phone to receive items from Myindietones.com?

Having text messaging makes picking up your ringtones and wallpapers easier, but it's not essential. If you would like to pickup your ringtone/wallpaper and you haven't gotten a text message, follow the following steps:

1. Navigate your phone's internet browser to "http://dl.myindietones.com"
2. At the prompt that says "Enter Key", type in the key code that was emailed to you for the ringer/wallpaper you want to download.It should be a combination of 6 letters/numbers.
3. Click/Push "Download". The download should begin shortly.

Can I resend an order to my phone without being charged again?

When I try to download my content, I get an error saying "Authorization failed or no downloads remaining." What's going on?

Does it cost anything for my band to sign up with Myindietones.com?

From now until September 1st, Myindietones.com is having a summer special. It is going to be 100% free to sign your band up for ringtones and wallpapers during these months.

Do you have a Label/Manager feature so I can manage multiple bands?

We are in the process of developing this aspect of our site. Please email "support@myindietones.com" to get an estimated date for this to be integrated.

How much money can my band make?

Here are our current royalty payouts for bands:

• Ringtones sold for $1.99 / Band is paid .30 per download
• Wallpaper sold for $0.99 / Band is paid .10 per download

Does Myindietones.com provide banners to place on our website or MySpace to help promote our new ringtones?

When will my band receive a check for downloads?

All bands will be paid on a quarterly 45-day schedule.

Does my band get taxed on money made on Myindietones.com?

Yes. As a band or individual receiving a source of income, it is tax policy for myindietones.com to issue every singleband a 1099 tax form at the end of the year.

If my band signs up with Myindietones.com, can we sign up with any other ringtone websites?

Yes and No. Myindietones.com offers both exclusive and non-exclusive agreements. The default is an exclusive agreement,so please verify this before releasing your work to other providers.

How do I prepare the ringtone to upload to my profile?

How do I prepare a wallpaper to upload to my artist profile?

Myindietones accepts most ALL types of images. Please upload images with the following specs for the best quality wallpapers:

• Any JPEG, GIF, or PNG image file will work
• Please make sure the file is less than 100k.
• Ideal resolution is 320x320. You can use other dimensions, but we will redimension them to a square. Note: Some phones may re-dimension the image to fit the phone's screen.
• No inappropriate wallpapers will be accepted.

Can my band change ringtones/wallpapers at anytime?

Yes. Because myindietones.com is all about the freedom of music and no limits, we allow each band to be in control of editing most of their profiles. (Note: Myindietones.com will not allow or promote obscene, derogatory, prejudice or pornographic material therefore we will be notified of profile changes and will be continually reviewing them.

Can my band add more than just 3 ringtones/wallpapers?

No. Unfortunately do to the some limitations with server space it’s best fit for each band to receive a max of up to 3 ringtones and 3 wallpapers.

How can I get my band on the homepage of Myindietones.com?

How does my band see how much money we have made from fans downloading our ringtones?

Yes. Once a band or individual is logged into their account, if you click on "My Content", you will see a purchase counter showing you the number of ringtone and wallpaper downloads for this and last month.

How much money can my band expect to make with Myindietones.com?

Depending on the band's attitude and motivation, the sky’s the limit. Artists have made more money on media sales such as ringtones, then any other promotions offered.

Can Myindietones.com edit our song for our ringtones?

Yes. Upon special request, myindietones.com may assist with chopping and cropping a song and/or image. Generally the preparation and uploading of the material is the responsibility of the band.

Is every band automatically approved?

Every band is allowed to apply, however due to the age of our users, myindietones.com will not tolerate bands who promote drugs, guns, gangs, pornography, or other material deemedto be inappropriate by myindietones management.
